EXECUTIVE PRODUCER and PRODUCER/DIRECTOR, Karen Cantor, who grew up in Mt. Vernon, NY, received her BA cum laude from Goucher College and an MBA from Wake Forest University. Ms. Cantor’s eclectic background combines both her pursuit of the arts and business acumen. She has not only served as marketing director and consultant for high-tech firms but has also taught photography and entrepreneurship at American University. Her work as an award-winning photographer evolved into producing audio-visuals for the corporate world prior to making documentary films.  As a founding principal of Singing Wolf Documentaries, Inc., Karen Cantor is committed to creating productions of high esthetic value with underlying moral dilemmas with the intent of contributing to the debate of relevant issues and encouraging compassion, tolerance, and civic engagement. Ms. Cantor, who made her first film after she became a grandmother, co-produced and co-directed The Danish Solution, a documentary about the 1943 rescue of the Danish Jews. DIRECTORS OF PHOTOGRAPHY Paul Pytlowany and Bob Berg (Michigan) and Scott Douglas ,and Mathieu Mazza, (Washington, DC.) are nationally recognized videographers. Together, they have well over 40 years of experience in the television industry. Their national honors and Emmy’s have been awarded for News, Features, and Cultural Affairs. Individually their artistic ability and field of knowledge has enabled each of them to gain journalistic contacts while honing their visionary skills. Their TV industry credits, which cover stories throughout the United States, include: CBS / UPN Detroit, CBS Evening News, ABC News, CNN, General Motors, National, Ford Motor Company, Daimler Chrysler, and VH1 / MTV.
EDITOR and CO-PRODUCER Chris Gavin has worked in the broadcast television industry for more than 15 years. His credits include ABC News, The Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, The Voice of America, ESPN, Paramount TV, HBO and MTV. He was an essential team member in Time Warner Cable's launch of its homepage NY1.com in New York City. More recently, he has produced and edited several documentaries on various musicians including the O.A.R. and Carbon Leaf.
COMPOSER Harold Stephán, a songwriter, record producer, programmer and arranger, has recently written and produced music licensed to the hit
MTV show Camp Jim, Disney's popular teen show In A Heartbeat, MTV's Undressed, ESPN2 Xtreme Games and CBS TV. Film scoring credits include
the documentary The Danish Solution. As a writer for Garfish Music, he
has scored commercials for Adidas, Chrysler, Burger King, Ocean Spray,
Spaghettios and Huggies. Working with Amelia Gewirtz, he has written and
recorded two full length albums for their band, Amelia's Dream. His
current record project is with producer George Gesner for Blue November
Records' recording artist Frederik Doci.
STORY CONSULTANT Fernanda Rossi is an internationally renowned speaker, author, and story consultant. Ms. Rossi has doctored over 300 documentaries, scripts, and fundraising trailers including the 2009 Academy Award® nominated The Garden by Scott Hamilton Kennedy and the 2007 Academy Award® nominated Recycled Life by Leslie Iwerks. In addition to private consultations, lectures, and seminars worldwide, she has served as festival juror and grant panelist. Ms. Rossi shares her knowledge and research of story structure and the creative process in columns and articles in trade publications. She is also the author of the book Trailer Mechanics: A Guide to Making your Documentary Fundraising Trailer.
