BUZZ ABOUT Last Rights:
Facing End-of-Life Choices

Sigrid Fry-Revere, President of the Center for Ethical Solutions - a bioethics think tank, I just watched "Last Rights." Wow! The film has gone from being fascinatingly interesting to also being beautiful and a joy to watch. Bravo!

Linda Gottesman, President of Filmakers Library, “We really love the film and feel it goes way beyond the niche market. It’s a film about living and values and family relations and will touch the humanity in those who see it.”

Roland Halpern, Director of Community Relation at Compassion & Choices, “Fabulous! I think you’ve got a winner here.”

Reverend Ken Phifer, Director of Community Relation at Compassion & Choices, “Having seen it many times now, I remain deeply impressed by the quality of the film in laying out the issues we humans face, in describing how different people chose to face their mortality. Thank you for that.”

Carolyn Roberts, Michigan, Congratulations on a stunning presentation which has captured the nuances and conflicts both between folks and within each of us. [This film presents] a balance along any number of dimensions . . . Bravo, bravo, bravo for an outstanding work of art.

Christopher Springmann, radio host, “this film exudes compassion, empathy and a real understanding of the issues.”

Suzanne Turner, President of TurnerSTRATEGIES, Last Rights is the human face of the so-called "death panels”. It follows four families as they grapple with the final days of beloved family members. This documentary film is a no-holds-barred, very honest look at the difficult process of deciding to "pull the plug.”

ANONYMOUS COMMENTS:

Attendee at the Western Psychological Association Film Festival,VERY GOOD FILM – VERY TOUCHING. Lots of information mixed with emotion in short amount of time.

Social Work undergraduate student,I thought the film was great and inspirational. It spoke to me in a special way. I was so confused and mad after the passing of my grandmother because everyone had their own opinion on how things should go and what to do. It is important just to hold dear the people in our lives because we might not know everything they are thinking. The film made me cherish the life I have a little more and to have a plan about the aftermath of my death before it happens because it will make it so much easier on the families.
